Mountain National Forest
One of the most heavily used National Forests in the country, the White
Mountain National Forest is the "Land of Many Uses." Sprawling
over 800,000 acres in New Hampshire's White Mountains into Western Maine,
the Forest offers unlimited recreational choices and breathtaking scenery
year-round. Parking passes are required in most areas, and passes ranging
from $3/day to $25/annually may be purchased at Forest Service Information
